USING StarHub Internet i.MAIL
  What is i.Mail

i.Mail is an enhanced Web, WAP and POP3 integrated email service which allows you to receive, compose, forward, reply and send email from anywhere, as long as you have an access to the internet. There is a built-in feature that enables you to filter incoming emails.

If you are an existing StarHub Mobile plan customer, you can also enjoy additional features from this new i.Mail. You will also be able to receive SMS alerts when you receive an email that meets your preset criteria.

Accessing i.Mail via POP3 (Microsoft Outlook or Netscape Messenger)

· Incoming Mail Server (POP3) : pop.starhub.net.sg Port : 110

· Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): smtp.starhub.net.sg Port : 25

A) Outlook Express Email Setup
1. Start Outlook Express application. Click on "Tool" & select "Account".


2. Click on "Mail" tab, then click on "Add" and select "Mail…".

3. For "Display name:", type in your name and click "Next".


4. Under Internet E-mail Address , select the option "I already have an e-mail address that I'd like to use." Type in your E-mail address in the "E-mail address" field and click "Next".


5. Check that "My incoming mail server is a POP3 server." For "Incoming mail (POP3, IMAP or HTTP) server:", type in "pop.starhub.net.sg". For "Outgoing mail (SMTP) server:", type in "smtp.starhub.net.sg". Click "Next".


6. Under Internet Mail Logon, type in your Userid in the "Account name:" field and type in your password in the password field. Click "Next".


7. Click "Finish" to exit the Internet Connection Wizard.


8. Highlight the newly created account and click on “Set as Default” button so as to set this account as the default email account


9. Click “Close” to exit the Internet Account Properties.

10. To start sending/receiving emails, click on the “Send/Receive” button.
The next time you wish to check emails, simply launch Outlook Express and click on “Send/Receive” button.

B) Netscape 6 Email Setup
1. Launch Netscape Mail. Click on "Edit" menu and select "Mail/News Account Settings".

2. Click on “New Account” button to create a new StarHub email account.

3. Click on “ISP or email provider” and click "Next".

4. Enter your name and Email address into the “Your Name” and “Email Address” field respectively. Click "Next".

5. Select "POP Mail Server" for "Server Type" and enter "pop.starhub.net.sg" into the "Server Name:" field. Click "Next".

6. Enter your "userid" into the “User Name:” field. Click "Next".
(Note: userid refer to your login id in lowercase.)

7. Type "StarHub Account" into the “Account Name:” field. Click "Next”.

8. Double check if the “User Name”, “Email Address” & “Server Name” are entered correctly. If the setting is incorrect, click "Back" to amend the settings. Otherwise, click "Finish" to complete the setup.

9. When Account Setup is completed, you will see the newly created account in the left column.

10. Click on the newly created account on the left column, and select the "Set as Default" button to set this account as the default email account. Make sure that the Account Settings as shown on the right are correct.

11. Click on “Outgoing (SMTP) Server” on the left column. Check that the "SMTP Server" is set correctly to "smtp.starhub.net.sg".

12. Click "OK" to exit from the settings.

13. To start sending/receiving emails, click on the “Get Message” button.

The next time you wish to check emails, simply launch Outlook Express and click on “Send/Receive” button.

For StarHub Internet i.Mail Users:

1.1 How to access i.Mail?
StarHub Internet i.Mail users can access i.Mail via a few locations:
- www.starhub.com under Value Added Services
- www.starhub.com/myspace under My Account Manager
- www.starhub.com/online

Enter your i.Mail User ID and password, then click on submit

Inbox : Display email
Compose Mail : Compose and send an email
Address Book : Listing of all your contact persons and email addresses
Alerts : Define SMS alerts that match "keywords" and other parameters for the incoming emails
Filters : Filter incoming emails based on preset parameters
Preferences : Edit your personal preferences for outgoing mails, POP User ID & Passwords, signatures and name used.
Manage Folders : Summary of folder's statistics, such as number of emails currently in Inbox, Drafts and Trash etc.
External Mail: Retrieve all incoming emails from one of your POP3 email accounts

Log off : Exit the i.Mail

Accessing i.Mail via Phone (WAP/GPRS) for StarHub GEE! Customers
- Select 1. Info Manager at iPower menu
- Select 1. i.Mail (with alerts)

i.Mail page will be shown with the following choices:
Inbox : Display your email
Refresh inbox : To check new email
Compose : Compose and send an email
Drafts : Save and compose email before sending
Trash : Delete an email
Empty trash : Clear all deleted emails
Outbox : List all outgoing emails
Alerts : Define SMS alerts that match "keywords" and other parameters for incoming emails*^
Preferences : Edit your personal preferences for outgoing mails, POP User ID & Passwords, signatures and name used. Scroll down to External POP settings: POP server. Enter POP.server name** (Example: POP.starhub.net.sg or pop.mail.yahoo.com) followed by entering your User ID, Password and click on the save preference.

* Each incoming email alert is charged at 5/SMS.
** Please find from your own Internet mail provider the POP server name.

Accessing i.Mail via Phone (WAP/GPRS) for Non-StarHub Mobile Customers
- Select i.Mail which is bookmarked on your Phone Browser

i.Mail page will be shown with the following choices:
